Who We Are
VIP Kennels is a family-owned and operated business, managed by Jan, John and Steve Smith, who took over the kennels and cattery in 1998. Our dedicated team of professionals includes Lauren, Natalia, Emma, Yas, Jack, Chandler, Harris, Max and Edi, who assist during weekends and busy periods. We also support students from Writtle College in their practical training for diplomas and NVQs in small animal care.

As a medium-sized establishment licensed and inspected by Maldon District Council with a 5 star rating, we have earned a reputation for excellence in caring for up to 64 dogs and 20 cats. Our commitment to constant improvement ensures that our facilities remain up-to-date and comfortable for our furry guests. As pet lovers ourselves, we take pride in providing a "lifestyle business" that brings joy and fulfilment through the care of our guests, many of whom have become like family over the years.

What We Do
VIP Kennels is a premier boarding kennel, cattery, and dog training center dedicated to providing the highest level of care for your pets.
Our services include:

1. Boarding Kennels: We offer spacious and heated kennels with individual runs for each pet. Your dogs will enjoy a comfortable and secure environment, with regular exercise and playtime under the supervision of our experienced staff.

2. Cattery: Our cattery provides a calm and peaceful setting for your feline friends. Each cat has its own cosy pen, complete with heating, ventilation and natural light to ensure a stress-free stay.

3. Dog Training: Our expert trainers specialise in dealing with behavioural challenges in dogs. Whether your pet needs one-on-one attention or training in a small group setting, we have the experience to help them learn and grow.
